Join as a cadet!
So, are you ready to take the first step towards all the opportunities and benefits that the air cadets can offer you? Here are some things you shoulc know before joining:- What we do?Every parade night (the night's we meet) is different. We have a range of different activities planned every night including, leadership exercises, flight simulation, camouflage and concealment, projects, map reading, radio communication and much more. It is for this reason that we can't possibly tell you exactly what you will be doing. |

Things to know before you turn up
- The minimum age you can join is 13
- You must have a parent or guardian with you where they will have to fill in a short form.
What will I get out of it?
What did you do last weekend? Nothing? Watch TV? Play on the playstation? Apart from all the shooting, flying, gliding, adventure training, sports and much more activities on offer, what will you get out of it? Join the air training corps and you will have some unbelievable experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. You will see the benefits of the atc from the minute you join. Have you ever flown aerobatics in the sky? How many of your friends can say they did that last weekend?
Does it cost?
Subscriptions to squadrons can vary depending on the activities offered. Our squadron is currently charging £10 a month for enrolled cadets and 50p a night for all new cadets (first 4 - 8 weeks - Not inclusive of first week) This should not be a barrier to any cadet wanting to join experiencing family financial difficulties, you should let the CO know of your situation. All new cadets joining must pay the monthly subscription via direct debit which is £10 a month
What will happen on the night I join?
When you first turn up you will be greeted by a member of staff. Don't worry, there's no need to be nervous, we don't bite! They will briefly explain to you the process of joining, and all the fun and exciting stuff we do. Your parent/guardian will have a consent form to fill out, just to make sure everything is A-ok with you joining. After that, you will be given a tour of our building by either another member of staff or a cadet.
The night is scheduled as follows:-

| 19:30 - 20:15 | First period |
| 20:15 - 20:30 | Break |
| 20:30 - 21:15 | Second period |
| 21:15 - 21:30 | Final parade |
